Industry veterans with executive experience at Toyota, Honda, General Motors, Hyundai, and Ford appointed as inaugural members.

ST. LOUIS, MO (FEBRUARY 3, 2026) — WarrCloud, the automotive industry’s leading automated warranty processing platform, today announced the formation of its new OEM Advisory Board (the “Board”). The Board is composed of four widely respected automotive industry veterans whose experience includes executive roles at Toyota, Honda, General Motors, Hyundai and Ford, among others. Collectively, John Mendel, James Press, Frederiek Toney, and Tim Turvey bring decades of OEM, dealer, and supplier leadership experience that will help guide WarrCloud’s expansion and partnership strategy across the automotive ecosystem.
The Board’s primary objective will be to assist WarrCloud with OEM strategies as the industry moves to streamline and automate more of the warranty claims process. OEMs stand to benefit from this transformation through faster access and higher-quality warranty data, which can lead to improved product quality insights. According to NADA, collectively the automotive OEMs spent over $28 billion on warranty in the U.S. in 2024.

Mendel is a respected automotive executive with extensive OEM leadership experience. Over the course of his career, he held senior roles at American Honda Motor Company, where he oversaw automotive operations, dealer development, sales, and customer service. Mendel is recognized for his deep understanding of both OEM strategic priorities and dealer network needs, as well as his focus on improving the customer ownership experience.
James Press
Press is one of the most accomplished executives in the global automotive industry, known for his leadership at Toyota, where he became the first non-Japanese member of Toyota’s global board. He later served in senior roles at Chrysler and in advisory positions across the mobility and manufacturing sectors. Press is widely regarded for his expertise in OEM-dealer relations, operational transformation, and global automotive strategy.
Frederiek Toney
Toney is a longtime leader in automotive parts, service, and aftersales operations. He served as President of Global Ford Customer Service and previously held senior leadership roles across Ford Motor Company’s service, logistics, and supply chain organizations. Toney brings extensive expertise in OEM warranty processes, customer support operations, and quality-driven service programs.
Tim Turvey
Turvey brings decades of executive experience in global customer care, aftersales operations, and dealer service strategy. He served as General Motors’ Global Vice President of Customer Care and Aftersales, where he led service and sales operations, parts warehousing and distribution, service engineering, and dealer support worldwide. Turvey’s leadership background includes major advancements in warranty operations, service-department efficiency, and integrated aftermarket systems.
