Warranty claim opportunities abound for service and parts departments

Jim Roche was visiting a dealership when a service manager pointed to a pile of warranty claims on a desk that hadn’t been processed and referred to them as a stack of uncashed checks. A lightbulb went off for Roche, who rolled out his warranty processing platform WarrCloud in 2021. By the end of 2025, Roche forecasts a nearly 20 percent jump in warranty dollars. He spoke with Senior Editor Dan Shine about the warranty opportunities in service and parts departments, especially as more electric vehicles hit the road.
